I AM A NEW PERSON TODAY...MY HAIR WAS FUN TO STYLE TODAY AFTER HIDING IN MY HOUSE FOR A WEEK. Thank you so much your skillful, kind attention to my (other) salon nightmare...

Relaxing place to go and get nails, hair, pedicures, and massages. I drive from Orlando to get my hair done, not only is she a great sister but Barbara is fantastic at her job! I have had other
friends drive along with me to get their hair done too because she is so good with hair. Go see Barbara at this salon, you won't be sorry I promise!

Love this place! The atmosphere is beautiful and so relaxing. Everyone is extremely professional and attentive to detail. One of those rare salons where client satisfaction is the top priority.

Barbara is amazing at doing hair and her beautiful daughter christina does awesome nails. I would be lost without bamboo salon!!

Barbara is one of the best stylist I have come across in a long time. Not only can she make your hair look fabulous, she can also make your face gorgeous too. I highly recommend Barbara if you are in
the Brandon area. Even if you aren't she is worth the drive.

By sheer radar (my favorite way to explore) I was in the right turn only lane coming up to Kings Ave on 60.  Glancing up I noticed BAMBOO SALON on the signage and decided to follow the turn and check it out. Tucked away in the strip mall I found it. Opening the door, I was pleasantly surprised at the decor which was unexpected, calm, trendy, exciting  and soothing at the same time.  A little shocked,  I asked for cards and menu’s for my new directory. The owner of the salon was busy doing a manicure but answered my questions and indicated where I could find what I needed. She was very gracious as was her client.

Now, normally I would get a service before blogging about a place, but here’s what happened:

I continued on my way to visit some more salons, after which I stopped into the Publix on Kingsway for a refresher. In produce I saw a woman with the most beautiful shoulder length gray hair with wonderful gradations of color with a perfect cut for her face. She looked like Blythe Danner but more attractive if you can believe that, more oval in face and wider eyes. Normally I’m excruciatingly shy, but a side effect of my mission apparently is a new found boldness.  I blurted out how beautiful she looked and how her hair is perfect for her. She was very happy and stated she had  just come from BAMBOO SALON & SPA! She told me the color is God given but the style was a change after short hair for many years. She pulled her cart over and gave me a glowing review and history of her interactions with Bamboo’s owner.

So, serendipity has chosen my first post because seriously, what are the odds of such a positive encounter?
